I DREAM OF XENA by Watcher
Fun crossover story for those Xenites who are also fans of the X-Files. Scully is intrigued by a new show on TV featuring a heroic female warrior and her spunky staff-wielding companion. Her interest soon turns to shock, however, when she finds herself in the world of the Warrior Princess, helping Xena and Gabby fight the bad guys and discovering that the two are much more than just friends. - 8 pgs., 5/28/97
**I TREMBLE by Tish
A gripping hurt/comfort story set in the middle of a forest where a wounded warrior struggles to remember images from her past, the violence that led to her injuries and most of all, the beautiful young woman so movingly devoted to her care despite suffering from injuries herself. Tish does a fine job of building the characterizations, expressing through that warrior's point of view both her frustrated desperation and the anguish of her partner. Poignant and engrossing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! -- 4 pgs., 9/11/98
I'M IN DEEP by T. Novan
Told from Mel's perspective, the 89th installment in the RAISING MELOSA SERIES is a charming look at young love as the warrior and bard's progeny gets used to life with her beloved healer...and realizes that living with the Queen and her consort may not be the wisest of choices anymore. Romantic entry with a great family feel. - 6 pgs., 10/17/99
[Palm Pilot version available at XENA FAN FICTION FOR THE PALM PILOT]
**I'M RIGHT HERE by Rebecca Hall
Well-known in Xena fanfic for her uniquely romantic treatment of the Xena/Gab relationship, Rebecca makes a solid addition to that list of memorable interludes with a sizzler of a tale set immediately after a battle during which Xena came very close to losing her bard. Sensing the warrior's distress Gabrielle tries to soothe her partner, awakening instead a desperate need in them both to reaffirm their love, reaffirm life, and reaffirm the fierce passion flowing through their veins. I don't think living in Miami had ANYTHING to do with the marked temperature increase I experienced reading this little gem ;-) Rebecca's latest should get you nostalgic for those simpler days of Xena fanfic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 2 pgs., 8/30/99
