**QUEEN AND THE SOLDIER (THE) SL Bowers - [See the CHIAROSCURO SERIES]
QUEEN'S ORDERS by Katelin B.
While at the Amazon village Xena and the queen decide to take a quick break from their duties. Invigorating little tale ;-) - 2 pgs., 4/18/98
QUEEN'S REALM (THE) by T. Novan
Part 69 of the RAISING MELOSA SERIES finds the warrior and bard back home with the Amazons where their reunion is bittersweet as Xena faces the prospect of a very different life after her recent injury. Meanwhile, Mel assumes a more active role as the queen's protector ;-) This is a "breather" piece giving the characters a chance to recover from recent challenges and prepare for the ones ahead. - 4 pgs., 8/30/99
[Palm Pilot version available at XENA FAN FICTION FOR THE PALM PILOT]
**QUEEN'S SACRIFICE (A) by B L Miller
This latest effort by B L Miller is perhaps her best to date and that is saying A LOT considering the consistently excellent quality of this bard's fiction. As the title implies, this is a story of sacrifice, courage and the power of love to triumph over the worst of atrocities. As Queen of the Amazons, Gabrielle is forced to make a decision that will forevermore scar her mind and soul. Only the love of a Warrior Princess stands a chance of helping the young bard put the pieces of her life back together again. This is a bittersweet, emotionally charged tale that will pull at your heart strings bringing both a tear and a smile. NOTE: Please make sure to read the WARNINGS the author includes at the beginning of the story. This tale carries my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! - 52 pgs., 5/2/97
FANFIC ART: B L Miller Story Cover
[French version: LE SACRIFICE D'UNE REINE translated by Fausta at http://blmiller.net/queen/queen1french.html]
QUEEN'S SECRET LOVES (THE) by de Bonheur
This amusing little story is the twelfth entry in de Bonheur's LONG IS THE WAY SERIES. Set among the Amazons, it has Xena devising a clever little plan to help her bard avoid some royal duties the warrior REALLY does not want the young queen fulfilling...at least not with anyone other than her. Cute. ;-) - 6 pgs., 11/97
QUEST OF A DIFFERENT COLOR (A) by Vada Foster
Set immediately after the episode THE QUEST, this new skit is in a word - HILARIOUS!! Certainly a very different take on the events following Xena's untimely demise. Gabrielle here is slightly ticked off at her companion for dying and leaving her stranded in the middle of nowhere. Having purchased a sarcophagus from an old acquaintance now in a new line of business, the bard sets off with Xena's body in tow and some friends who want to help including a strange feline named Princess with eyes the color of Xena's and an affinity for Gabrielle's billous green sports bra ;-) Very cute story with a great cast of characters. - 8 pgs., 7/17/97
**QUEST CONTINUED (THE) by Rebecca Hall (Storm)
Rebecca delivers a second solid hit tonight with this sweet, EXTREMELY passionate little tale that takes place immediately after the events in the episode THE QUEST as Xena and Gabby sort out the feelings between them. This one gets my DO NOT READ AT WORK warning >:) - 7 pgs., 4/28/97
QUESTION (THE) by
Sweet first-time story that has Xena saving Gabrielle from certain death after which the two go stay with the Amazons so Xena can recover from her injuries. - 9 pgs., 7/5/97
QUESTIONS and ANSWERS by sHaYcH
These are two separate vignettes written as companion pieces. The first is a journal entry in which Gabrielle thinks about her feelings for the Warrior Princess and wonders how Xena feels. In the second piece, the bard gets her answers. Very sweet. - 5 pgs., 7/97
