TEAMWORK AT ITS BEST by T. Novan
Xena and Mel do a little bonding while on a reconaisance mission in part 74 of the RAISING MELOSA SERIES. Great exchanges in this one. DO NOT MISS! - 6 pgs.
[Palm Pilot version available at XENA FAN FICTION FOR THE PALM PILOT]
TEARS AND DIAMONDS: GOODBYE TO LOVE by Cath, Bard
Set in the latter part of the fifth season, this poignant entry has Gabrielle visiting a now rundown Temple to the Goddess of Love where the bard and the beautiful Olympian reminisce about their unlikely friendship and share a touching goodbye in the face of the coming Twilight of the Gods. Cath, Bard captures the characters well and does a solid job depicting their close bond. - 4 pgs., 2/3/01
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES by MaryE
The PERFECT tribute to season five, this hilarious little story has the warrior and bard trying to survive a day in which nothing seems to be going quite right. Troopers 'til the end, both are nevertheless determined to reaffirm their love as they await the dawning of a brighter day. Clever and...hopeful ;-) - 4 pgs., 6/13/00
TELL ME AGAIN, HOW YOU FELT SOMETHING by T. Novan
In this spicy epilogue to the episode AMPHIPOLIS UNDER SIEGE, the bard wonders just what exactly Ares made Xena "feel" and then decides on some tactics of her own to get the warrior..."feeling" ;-) Playful and reaffirming. - 4 pgs., 2/27/00
TELLING SECRETS by Sam Ruskin
This sequel to IN HER DREAMS opens with an especially tender moment as Gabrielle bonds with Eve and then does a little bonding with Eve's mom only to be interrupted by a couple of Olympians anxious to have them expedite that "bonding" process ;-) Sam once again paints a charming portrayal here of two long-time friends moving toward a new stage in their relationship. Another entertaining read in the series. [See the sequel AFTER THE GLITTER] - 5 pgs., 8/15/00
TEN LITTLE AMAZONS by Lawlessgal
Amusing little story that has the warrior and bard trying to spend some quality time together when they are rudely interrupted by a group of embarrassed but decidedly curious Amazons. Cute :) -- 3 pgs., 9/14/98
TERMS OF SURRENDER (THE) by Crystal Barrett
Set after the events in SACRIFICE II, this is an insightful character study of the Warrior Princess as she tries to come to terms with her feelings for Gabrielle and her fears about revealing those feelings. Nicely written with a good handling of the relationship. DO NOT MISS! - 11 pgs., 3/21/99
**TEST OF TIME (THE) by Taz
This is one of the BEST XWP alternative stories written to date - very timely also considering that it is set just after the events of the Callisto episodes we are now seeing. In a terrible struggle with conflicting emotions over Gabrielle's marriage and the death of Perdicus, Xena and the bard find their relationship strained to its limit and then seemingly devastated at last when they learn of one final atrocity Callisto committed. Guilt-ridden, Xena makes a desperate choice, surrendering herself to a god in exchange for returning Gabrielle to the life she once had, but some things neither time nor distance can change and two souls meant to be together will find a way... This is a heartbreaker with a FANTASTIC ending that is going to shock the heck out of you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! - 65 pgs., 3/97
**TESTAMENT (THE) by WordWarior
We get another gem by this brilliant author tonight - a poignant story about the Warrior Princess in the twilight of her years, remembering her life, dealing with the challenges of being a legend, readying herself for the coming marriage of her granddaughter...and always missing her beloved bard. There are moments in this that will have you grinning at the old warrior's tendency toward mischief...and others that will pull at your heart in remembrance of what was. Beautiful and stirring. MAJOR kleenex alert but a MUST READ! - 3 pgs., 6/97
TESTING FATE by CN Winters
Nice, feel-good little epilogue to the episode WHEN FATES COLLIDE featuring an unexpected lesson and a sweet bonding moment for warrior and bard. Good writing in a simple and satisfying relationship piece. - 3 pgs., 6/25/01
