Hi all,

In addition to two new alt. stories and one update, I'm also including a SPECIAL SECTION tonight for those of you who like me are hooked on STAR TREK VOYAGER Janeway/Seven Alt. fiction.

Bittersweet tale set just after the end of the rift which has Xena and Gabrielle taking the first tentative steps toward one another. Underlying sense of pathos beneath the passion in this. -- 3 pgs.

MEMORIES by B.S. Barber
Gut-wrenching account of the days following the events in SACRIFICE II as a heart-broken Xena makes her way back to the Amazons. Dramatic piece. -- 5 pgs.

FESTIVAL by Melissa Good
Part seven is now being posted. This is the sequel to PROMISES KEPTwhich finds the warrior and bard on their way to the Amazons to celebrate the Festival of Dyonisus, participate in games, enjoy some delightfully tasty nutbread, and generally just get into a lot of trouble ;-) Missy maintains the general sense of playfulness and happiness the warrior and bard achieved in PROMISES KEPT after learning that their little family will be growing. The opening of this latest offering embodies what makes this bard's fiction so very special - a magical sense of connection and trust and love between two soulmates reveling in the simple pleasure of being together. In this latest part, with some very embarrassed Amazons now safe and tending to their wounded pride, Xena and Gabrielle play matchmakers :) Don't even bother with reviews of a Melissa Good story - just go read. The flashbacks alone in Missy's stories will leave you totally enraptured with her characters. FESTIVAL gets my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! :) [unfinished] -- 8 pgs.

Perhaps the most delightful entry to date in G.L.'s *outstanding* JUST BETWEEN SERIES (for others in the series see the Special Reports featuring Voyager fanfic reviews), this story marvelously combines drama with humor, suspense and some downright wickedness! It begins with the Voyager crew helping an alien race to save their planet, after which the very grateful aliens insist on hosting a celebration for their benefactors. It will be a challenging experience for all concerned as Seven finds herself dealing with human insecurities, B'Elanna and Tom have to fight the urge to kill one another, and Janeway has to balance diplomatic responsibilities with the need to keep her crew in one piece all the while thinking of a certain ex-Borg and the many twists and turns their relationship is taking. Lighter than the previous entries in the JUST BETWEEN series, this story does a beautiful job of developing both the characterizations and the various relationships. In particular, Gina solidly establishes the friendship between Seven and B'Elanna as one of the key sources of humor in this series, while continuing to add tremendous emotional depth to the romance between the Borg and her captain. Lots of great laughs in this one - and lots of wonderful, tender moments too. To top it off Gina even includes a guest appearance by a legendary celebrity from Earth that will leave you all with HUGE grins :) A fine addition to one of the best fanfic series on the Net - this gets my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!! -- 56 pgs.

The above story and all the VOYAGER alt. fiction I've reviewed to date are located at MARYD'S STAR TREK FICTION ARCHIVE at:

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.

Happy reading!
