Hi guys,

He's baaaaaack ;-) Yes Tim Wellman is in the fan fiction business again with a brand new site called XENA: THE JOURNEY CONTINUES at

Tim is looking for both general and ALTERNATIVE FICTION to post so bards - go check this new site out.

J.S. STEPHENS XENADEX site has changed names and addresses. Now called the XENA & GABRIELLE: MYTHICAL BABES page, it is located at

6 new ones tonight.

Based on a play from the 1920's entitled THE VALIANT by Holworthy Hall and Robert Middlemass, this is a beautifully crafted, moving little story that has Xena and the bard visiting a condemned woman in hopes she's the kind- hearted storyteller Gabrielle remembers from her childhood in Poteidaia. Culprit presents us with a stirring tale about the ability of the human soul to find courage and nobility even amidst the certain knowledge of its many failings. Terrific piece that makes a powerful impression. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! -- 5 pgs.

TZ concludes her fantastic A SACRIFICE FOR LOVE SERIES, with a tour-de-force! - a spellbinding, magical tale that will remind you in parts of the movie GHOST and offers the same combination of humor, romance, and drama that made that film such a huge success. Certain that she's dead, Gabrielle is thoroughly confused when she finds herself in the woods near Xena - able to see her partner, able to see and smell and feel the forest around them but invisible to the warrior. With her heart mirroring the ache in Xena's own, the little bard begins to follow her - vowing to keep her safe despite the warrior's almost suicidal recklessness. Soon Xena senses the beloved presence by her side and thus begins a quest to bring her soulmate back to the world of the living - determined to do so no matter the consequences...or the price. At times funny, at times heart-wrenching, this is a magical love story that thoroughly warms the spirit. A definite MUST READ! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! -- 15 pgs.

NOVEMBER 29, 1942 by CN Winters
A charming, tender interlude that has Janice Covington surprising her partner on her birthday - and then getting a surprise of her own when the evening leads to some unexpected confessions. Romantic and very sweet. DO NOT MISS! -- 5 pgs.

AFTER THE RETURN by Marion D Tuttle
Sweet story set after the resolution to the events in SACRIFICE II which has Gabrielle hurting and confused over feelings she can no longer deny but is too afraid to confess while a frustrated Warrior Princess gets some help in understanding those feelings from an unlikely source. Very loving depiction of the relationship and a believable premise make Marion's latest a nicely satisfying read. -- 10 pgs.

WHERE TO START by Lawlessgal
Very passionate entry from this new writer that has a worried Xena demanding to know why her bard seems so distraught and distant - then finding a beautiful spot for them to have a heart-to-heart. Some Amazon ice might be in order for this one which beyond the passion is also about a very deep and honest love. DO NOT MISS! -- 7 pgs.

Amusing little story that has the warrior and bard trying to spend some quality time together when they are rudely interrupted by a group of embarrassed but decidedly curious Amazons. Cute :) -- 3 pgs.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.

Happy reading!
