PAPER LIES by Claire Withercross
This eighth entry in Claire's RANDOM THOUGHTS SERIES is a charming little tale chronicling the warrior and bard's visit to a town in hope of replenishing their dwindling monetary reserves - only they end up dealing with some 24 distractions instead ;-) Very cute. - 6 pgs., 7/23/00

Symbolic little story that has a warrior protecting for all eternity a temple devoted to love. Original. - 3 pgs., 3/6/99

**PARTNERS IN GRIME by Donna E. Trifilo and Catherine M. Wilson - [See the AFTER THE HONEYMOON SERIES]

PARENT TRAP (THE) by Bard Blue
This fast-paced sequel to THE NEXT AMAZON QUEEN follows Xena, Gabrielle and the Amazon healer Kameiro on a desperate quest to find Amarice and baby Briena before the God of War can act on whatever sinister purpose led to their abduction. In the process they learn about a prophecy that may link Briena and Amarice's unborn child with the fate of the Amazon Nation itself. Some good cliffhangers in this one as well as some sizzling little moments. - 13 pgs., 2/27/00

**PARTY (THE) by Bat Morda
The Flying Mammal returns and she returns IN STYLE with a story that will knock your socks off...as well as anything else you might be wearing while trying to read this distinctly stimulating new offering ;-) Once again featuring Bat's favorite uber-duo, the tale has Janice and Mel arriving separately at a costume party which soon turns into en erotic challenge for the two as they struggle through the evening trying to resist the temptation of one another. This is foreplay at its most masterful in a sexy, romantic piece grounded in love. Having set the standard for the depictions of Janice and Mel in alt. fiction, Bat continues to add depth and charm to these two popular descendants of the Warrior Princess and bard. A highly entertaining, skillfully written addition to fanfic that is a MUST READ! VERY HIGLY RECOMMENDED! - 23 pgs., 3/26/98

**PARTY (THE) by T. Novan
The RAISING MELOSA SERIES continues with a party in honor of Xenas f...well...er...one of her birthdays, just as the warrior is experiencing a mid-life crisis. Nice feel-good tale. DO NOT MISS! - 6 pgs., 2/16/99
[Palm Pilot version available at XENA FAN FICTION FOR THE PALM PILOT]

TZ is well on her way to a homerun with this third, VERRRY sensual new offering that has a group of drunk, brutish soldiers unknowingly prompting Gabrielle to reveal some long-hidden feelings when they convince her to tell a lustful tale and the bard decides to draw inspiration from the only source she knows will ignite such inspiration. Once again TZ does a nice job of combining passion and emotions into a decidedly satisfying story. Some Amazon Ice might come in handy while tackling this one ;-) - 7 pgs., 7/20/98

This is a dark, passionate tale that has Xena struggling with the feelings she's having for Gabrielle, struggling especially against the terrible fear that she will end up hurting her young companion. - 30 pgs., 4/8/97

PASSIONS ILLUSTRATED by Amazonbard  Save Alert
In this delightful new story, Xena and Gabrielle help King Chalelle, a childhood friend of the Warrior Princess, vanquish a threat to his kingdom. Afterwards, the perceptive noble conspires with a certain bard to convince Xena to give in to the feelings she so obviously has for said bard and accept the happiness that could be theirs. Cute, funny, romantic tale. - 16 pgs., 5/11/97

**PAST IMPERFECT by Patricia L. Ennis
This veteran talent returns after a long hiatus with the first three chapters of an intriguing new tale. It begins innocently enough with the Warrior Princess and her bard on their way to help an old friend of Xena's - it is a journey neither will complete as Gabrielle soon finds herself in the middle of a nightmare - a nightmare in which she's very much alone and the family she once loved along with her childhood home are long gone - destroyed by the armies of a warlord...named Xena. One of the founders of Xena alt. fiction, Patricia shows once again her skills at storytelling in a tale that immediately draws you in and leaves you desperately wanting more of those chapters! This one is looking good folks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [unfinished]. - 46 pgs., 4/20/98

**PATHS OF LOVE (THE) by de Bonheur
This is the thirteenth and final entry in de Bonheur's wonderful LONG IS THE WAY SERIES. Having been through a lot of challenges, both physically and emotionally, Xena and Gabrielle are enjoying a quiet time with the Amazons. It is a time which allows Xena to reflect on what her life has been like and what it has turned into with the bard now at her side. It is a time also for rejoicing in that love and at last letting go of some of those long-held fears. This is a beautiful, poignant ending to a very romantic series which reaffirms the power of love. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! - 6 pgs., 11/9/97

A very timely tale considering that we are currently seeing the TV episodes around which it revolves, this is a "what if" story that has Xena coming face to face with the possible results of her indecision concerning Gabrielle's marriage to Perdicus. Those who hate Perd the Nerd will LOVE Mil's different take on the situation. Two parts. - 10 pgs., 3/97

PAYBACKS by Katelin B.
The sequel to Katelin's THE BUBBLE BATH. Gabrielle gets her "revenge". Put in for a second order from the Amazon Ice Co. ;-) 4 pgs., - 12/14/97

**PAYMENT (THE) by Rebecca Hall
Set after the events in the episode THE PRICE, this tale has Xena deeply troubled by her behavior during the stand-off with the Horde and the bard determined to get back the warrior she loves so well. Emotional and passionate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 9 pgs., 11/24/97
